I was in bed yesterday not feeling so good. (kidney stone acted up, getting it out this week) There was this LOUD bag outside. The box on the pole blew. Repair guy referred to it as "animal interference" which sounds like some poor squirrel grounded himself. They always take the path of least resistance. Just glad when we had the house redone last spring we got everything inside grounded really well. Poor squirrel though. :(
It is always terrifying when you sleep peacefully and a loud noise take you out of that sleep and make you spring on the bed and feel like the house fall on your head. On my part I have a guy that has the loudest bike ever and ever nigh bring back his girlfriend at 2 or 3 am waking up all the neighborhood. We all complained but still he acts like he doesnt care. I wonder how long he will do that till his tires broke with some way

Anyone watching this? I loved the original movie back in the day and the cast for this is good. It's slated for 5 Seasons. What makes this interesting is Hopkins and the kind of mysterious tone. But as a full series they're gonna need to drag out quite a bit. Of course, once they introduce the various different environments, I guess it can be stretched into weird Saw-like horror environments or they can go full Dreamscape where a Quaid-like character eventually realizes they have god-like powers that can affect the environment.
I also loved the orchestral composition of Paint it Black during one of the gunfights.

Another tough day, but I haven't broken down yet. Yesterday was brutal, I was such a mess all day. Each time I would do something it would normally either be with or 'supervised' by Carmen. And I would think of that and lose it. I couldn't even open the dishwasher, because her plates were in it. She always had to 'inspect' the mail when it came, etc. All the planned projects for new toys or cat furniture or a little tunnel for her to sneak into the bedroom, ramps for her old age, all come to naught.
Today I'm putting away her things for the last time, breaking down her cat trees, storing the dishes. Tomorrow I find a new home for things I can pass on to other cat parents.
I never realized what a crucial part of my life that cat was, she did literally everything with me. She was so much more than a pet, she was family. I don't like to say it's like losing a daughter, because parents of human children might be offended. But it was.
I'll get better, I'm a strong person and a survivor. But I've lost part of myself, a part that brought me the most joy in my day, and that void looms large every waking minute.
but i think it is also to fill those moments to the times that was good moments spent together. it is been easeing me these days. not to focus on the missing of them, but the times i have spent with them that are good memorys.

Carmen my loveable cat passed away tonight whom I had for 7 years. Sadly, she was unable to eat on her own so we took her to the Vet this morning. She began to take a turn for the worse and the Tech called us. As we pulled in so did the Vet. We rushed down there and were able to spend her last moments here on Mother Earth with her. I held her in my lap. She had a seizure in my arms and was foaming blood. She came out of it and she started purring and laid her head on my hand.
The Vet and I agreed that at this stage, it was only downhill. She was fighting to breath all the while she would purr. We knew she was in discomfort so the vet prepared a shot for her. Instead of being selfish and wanting ever moment with her we let her just go to sleep while she was in my arms. My mother and I both cried as she was the biggest belly-rub slut of a cat I'd ever known. The techs and vet also cried, they loved having her there even for just visits as she was the sweetest they'd known as well.
It was her kidneys.
I'm honored for the time I had with her and wouldn't have traded it for anything, just selfish enough to have wanted so much more. Tomorrow we will give her a proper burial. We have a beautiful spot on our property where we lay all our four legged brothers and sisters to rest. On the morning I will build her little casket and she will be buried in her favorite blanket, her mouse toy and a family picture of us.
If you pray, throw me a few and if you don't, just think happy thoughts at me.
Im so sorry love..... I dont know what to say to take this pain away. Its not easy to see someone go like that even if its a cat or a dog. Some might think that they are just pets but to you and me and so many others are part of the family. Once they get in our family they became a "brother or sister" or ven "kids".
I know it was hard for you to see Carm leave like that but she felt safe. Even in her hard last moment she felt safe because you were holding her. That was the only thing she wanted. to be with her "family".
She was one fine cat. Very beautiful. She will be missed deeply. Ill have her in my thoughts and prays today as I will pary for strength for you and your family my love.
Rest in peace sweet Carmen.... You will be greatly missed
She was about 16 years old. She laid her head on my hand after she has the seizures, that when we she was foaming blood. And this cat is purring as she is dying. Vet said he never seen a cat doing that. It was like she was trying to comfort us. I know she knew she was passing and made it better for us. Broke my heart. He gives her the shot, she still purring and passes her head on my hand and goes to sleep. The vet said it was kidney failure. Nothing could of been done. :(
So sorry for your loss! I have 4 furkits and they are all seniors (2, 11 year olds and 2, 15 year olds) and some are on meds with health issues. One had kidney stones removed this year. I know I will be devastated when I lose any of them. they are a huge part of my life

Our oldest cat Carmen is at the vet hospital. She just appeared here one day and decided we were good enough to keep her. She was about 3-4 years old when she showed up here according to the vet and that was 7 years ago. Yesterday I noticed she was not eating. This morning we took her to the vet. There are no blockages and they did a lot of blood work which the results will be in Monday. The vet wanted to keep her to give her an IV so she would not get dehydrated. I think it's just old age. This is the part that is hard, when they get up to senior ages in cat years. She loves to get up in your lap for belly rubs. She is the biggest belly-rub slut of a cat I'd ever known. She is the Biggest lovable goof-ball. The vet did not say it but I saw the look on his face. They will be giving her a liquid diet. I am dreading Monday when the results come in.
Lily and I watch movies together on Netflix sometimes. I am in Canada, she is in Greece. I know a lot of people have Netflix here... I thought it would be cool sometime have a VR movie night. Where we all watch the same movie together and get in a VR chat room so we can talk during the movie. Would anyone be up to this? Course with this being Oct I say we pick some cheesy scary movies to watch.
Its fun and a nice way to spent Mine and Dakotahs afternoons and nights together even though the distance. Interesting idea for anyone who has Netlix and can use it. It has many number of movies and series in it. Its awesome

My native name, Nah Kah Yen. It means Keen Sighted.
My grandfather gave me the name because of something that happen a few years before. I saw a spirit. My Grandfather said I always been able to see things others could not. Rather that be so or not I was honored to get my name and to go though the ritual from being a child to becoming a man. It is a day I shall never forget and the naming ceremony I was so proud of. Its my name.
At home I am called Nah Kah Yen. In my community this is what I am called too and not the Christian name Sean. Recently I had Nah Kah Yen changed as my legal name.
So today is a special day for me. It's the day I got my name from my family, not the Government. Thank you Lily for this stamp. Means a lot to me. I have even consider changing my profile name to my real name. Still pondering that idea....
I have not used drugs in 6 years. I smoke pot once in awhile. I use to use hard drugs. I went cold turkey in a jail cell. I never picked up again. I never had an issue with alcohol however, I am aware I could. I do not crave it like I did drugs but it can also be a replacement.
Most of my friends I ran with back then are dead. The group of 20 I ran with there are only 3 of us alive. Towards the end for me I woke up to my best friend ( we meet in 1st grade) dead, Drug overdose.
Personally in my own family I have relatives who are alcoholics, thankfully most are in recover and sober. I posted yesterday I had read a few journals lately that really disturb me on the abuse of alcohol. Not one in particular so no one think I am point a finger. One thing being the son of a alcoholic is not the drinker but what it does to the family of the drinker or drug user. The children. Having a dad that was the drunk.
When I was 6 he drove with me in his truck and almost killed me. he was drunk. I was in ICU for 4 weeks. It changed my life forever. I suffered brain damage.
Its the children my heart goes out too. Like this little boy. If you love your children, put the drugs and the drink down for them. Get sober. Don't let your children experience the heartbreak this little boy did. And don't for a moment think this could never happen to you:

After reading a few journals lately I am so glad I gave up heavy drinking. I knew I had gone far enough in my drinking when one drinking night I had to hold onto the grass to keep from falling off the earth. I have a beer now and then, once in awhile a good shot of scotch, but that is it. I never got to the point, or crossed that invisible line that I had to have a drink. Though I could very well have if I kept on the path I was. My father is an alcoholic (He is in recovery now) and I do believe that children of alcoholics have a 50/50 % chance to also have the disease. Warning to some here, if you drink and your life is unmanageable, get help.
I only got drunk once when i was 24 I think and that was because my brother liked the bar woman and he would order one drink behind the other. The feeling i felt after and the next days was the worse. I swore never to drink and get drunk again. I used to drink to family gatherings light driinks like a glass of frangelico that has hazelnut taste or a glass of red wine.
Anyone who has drinkinng problem have in mind thay you dont see it but you might cause problems not only to you but to the ones around you, Especially when kids are involved. Seek and ask help. You can do it. You are not alone.
It does take a fair amount of self-realization and self-honesty to say, and do what you're expressing here.
I had two relationships with problem drinkers. I noticed in my own life, drinking tended to greatly amplify whatever energy I was already bringing in and letting out.
if I was happy, drinking made me silly-happy. But if I was sad, drinking would spiral me into a self-destructive pattern.
So like you, I have an occasional beer, and an occasional scotch, or glass of wine... rarely ever more than once in a week.
So let me say, I'm proud of you for being able to take those steps. No shame to those who haven't, or don't want to, but to make that choice is something to feel good about.
And you're right, pancakes and/or cake in general fix everything. But rum numbs it.

I herd something that confused me today and that was that the soul resides in the brain. I always felt it resides all though the body that its an energy, its alive, its... who we are and upon death it goes on and our bodies are just the shell. But this is the first time I herd it resides in the brain. Anyone got some thoughts on that? What brought this up is I was watching Dateline, this old murder case where the person died from a head trauma and it was stated how the soul resides in the brain. I was like wow... hold up here....
I think you're assessment is more accurate. Consciousness resides in the brain. The brain is where the conscious and sub-conscious split, and join. Thus, the brain is part of the soul, and is guided by the soul, but not entirely soul. Nor is the soul entirely brain.
Just my take.
Certain people cannot split their conscious and sub-conscious as easily. Children, special needs individuals, the very elderly for example - therefore these people are guided more by energy patterns than most adults would be. Hence, they're more likely to see spirits, ghosts, the things that exist on a less physical plane.... like, where souls that don't quite pass beyond get hung up.
I believed that is in our body. Not in a general spot. But I ususally in my mind placed it next to the heart in the middle of our chest like a bright light. But Both Birra and you are right.
Soul is an energy that travels in us and when we day it leaves so it can travel and move to the next body to rebirth.
Well at least thats what they used to tell us at school we we were little

Most parents now a days tend to blow things way up so they can have something to rant about. The kids aren't affected, like you said, but the parents are because they try to put themselves in their kids place while still thinking like an adult. I say toss a happy pill, joint, drink (pick your poison) to everybody, help em pick out some adult undies or a good shovel to dig the sand out of their manginas/vaginas, and call it a day.

I did put in my kismet sometimes : need adds and rates, will return all. Again, there is NOT one person I sent a message to asking them to add and rate me... I also posted on the Forms a place created for us to ask people to add and rate us.... Guess What? I Sired. I did not annoy ONE person. I worked for it. it took me about 2 years (I have a life too, I work and contribute to society) I have seen some also work for as I did and accomplish it under 2 years. Again, I did not message a soul to add and rate me. When I did Sire I felt an accomplishment because I earned it.
Edit to add: Also I have had 1 block since the 2nd month I was here. It did not prevent me from reaching Sire. I have gotten very few blocks in my time here because guess what-- I treat people how I want to be treated. I am nice. I do not annoy people.

I get tired of her name changes and crap too. My inbox get's a message from her and one of her new profiles every week almost. I tend to ignore them. I don't bother rating her or adding her. And honestly? Why do you care if she sires or not? Her Siring doesn't affect you.

I have hit level 87 in pretty short time. I bet I COULD reach sire in my first year to a year and a half at this point. The thing is, I havent changed my name!!! Every name change makes you lose friends, rates and journal adds that you will never get back. As for Lana, I am so sick of seeing requests for rates and journal adds in my in box that I just ignore them now. I have helped her more than enough. No more. I will not rate or add her journals anymore. She needs to pick a name and stay with it for Christ sake!!
Oh and when I rate, I will let people know that I rated and added them, but I do not beg for rates and adds in return. If they wish to return the favors, thats entirely up to them. At this point, I have only one black and have only blocked one or two people in return and I am proud of that.

Ok, so I am a artiest. I draw and paint. I am not the best. Not a Picasso. But people tell me I am good. Currently I am doing a chair for my little niece who is homeschooled. She calls it her 'Get Smart In Chair' its a little wooden chair just her size. She wants me to paint a red-Eyed Tree Frog, her name, two lily's and her as a manga (those cartoon chars with the big eyes). I will put up pictures of it when I am done. Now, on to what I want to post about. Paint Names. Spring Green, summer green, forest green, you pretty much can vision what color of green that is. But... HOOKERS green... yeah, that is a paint name. What color is that??? Who names paint Hooker's... did a guy pay a hooker the day before he named this paint and she had on a green shirt??? I mean... 0.0. It's a dark green by the way.
I have heard of green forest green. Of light green. Olive green. Grass green. But hookers green..... It makes you wonder what they were thinking the time they choose to name the paint.. Imagine the shock of the painter when he needs that color and he sees the name. "I would like 2 paints of hooker green"

I think names of paint should give you some idea what the color of the paint is inside... even if its named after the creator it gives you no idea the color it is...
